Monday was our first morning at the campground..

We took an early morning walk..just missing sunrise.

Hunting Island SP_015Looking south toward the campground..

Hunting Island SP_019We walk north toward the inlet..

I see this silhouette of a bird on the edge of a shallow pool of water.

I thought by the way it was standing it might be a Starling…

Hunting Island SP_027Wrong!

Ha, perspective on size was way off..

I kept walking out further and further, Jeff was concerned about the tide.. good thing he was vigilant.. ..

we looked behind us and noticed the tide was coming in rapidly..

I took no photos until we were safely on the other side of the small inlet..

Wet shoes and wet pants.. Next time we will be more careful

Hunting Island SP_099Safely on the campground side of the water I look up and notice..

A heart cloud!

Hunting Island SP_207We walked south of the campground..

Hunting Island SP_212The beach has changed dramatically in the past 6 years since we were here..

We used to bike the beach south past the campground…

now that part of the beach is gone..

Hunting Island SP_213its now a bone yard..

Hunting Island SP_220We were told within the past two years most of the beach in this area was carried away..

Hunting Island SP_225

The water took over what was woodland..

Hunting Island SP_224We walk thru the bone yard..

Hunting Island SP_227

To the lighthouse..

Hunting Island SP_218Then back thru the boneyard

Hunting Island SP_226
